Jun 2026 🌐 Penguin Random House (WH Allen)

Users, published in June 2026 by WH Allen, is Beeban Kidron's account of what she describes as Big Tech's unchecked power and the regulatory gaps that let it persist. Drawing on her years in the UK Parliament, at the UN, and in exchanges with Silicon Valley companies, Kidron combines reporting with personal accounts to argue that products built to connect people have instead been shaped by business models competing for attention, including the attention of children. The book is framed as a call for citizens, parents, and lawmakers to push back on design and governance choices, rather than as a scientific study. TechKids Foundation lists it as Kidron's own current synthesis, in her own words, of the policy case she has built across a decade of testimony and legislative work.
