Her advocacy contributed to the passage of Texas's David's Law in 2017, legislation that expanded schools' authority to address off-campus cyberbullying and strengthened related reporting requirements. Molak is also a co-founder of ParentsSOS, a network of parents who organize around online-safety policy at the federal level. Through David's Legacy Foundation, she has continued public-education and advocacy work aimed at strengthening legal protections against cyberbullying for students across the country.
Suicide and self-harm are complex and never caused by one factor alone. Problematic screen use, cyberbullying, harmful content, and online exploitation may increase risk or intensify existing distress. If someone is in immediate danger or emotional crisis in the United States, call or text 988.
